ABSTRACT
The focus of this study aimed at assessing the effect of fuel price hike on Business Operations using Gourmet Pizza Company Abuja as case study. The survey research design was used for the study. Convenience sampling method was used in the study as the researcher purposively thirty-three (33) respondent who are Staffs of Gourmet Pizza Company Abuja.33 questionnaires was issued of which 30 were retrieved and validated for the study. Data was analyzed using frequency and tables. Findings from the study revealed that Fuel price hike has a significant negative impact on business operation.The increase in fuel price limit the performance and operation of medium and small scale business.When there is fuel price hike, business record high cost over heads and running. They are forced pass the pressure unto the customers in terms of increasing the price of their product and services. The study therefore recommends that Government of Nigeria should see the need to put measures in place to subsidize fuel in the country and avoid unnecessary hiking of the fuel price.Businesses owners should draft a good strategy and mechanism to always curb the fuel hike issues in the nearest future.
